I’m Anita, a native Portuguese teacher with over 19 years of experience helping more than 4,000 students worldwide. COURSE CONTENT
The course is designed for English speakers. As English and Portuguese are quite different languages, in most of the course I speak in Portuguese, so it will be easier for you to understand the main concepts, and it will make the transition to Portuguese smoother and easier to understand.
No previous knowledge of Portuguese is required. This course is for beginners (A1), and for this reason we will start from the absolute basics. However, the course is also a perfect fit if you already have a little knowledge and you want to build a solid foundation.Â

Pronunciation
you will learn from a native speaker how to pronounce the most difficult sounds in Portuguese.
Vocabulary
you will learn the most common vocabulary used in Portuguese in many daily situations that you can encounter.
Grammar
by the end of the course you will be able to master the most important grammar concepts, so that you will understand the logic behind the Portuguese language.Â
Expressions and Idioms
you will remain fascinated by some of the Portuguese expressions and idioms you can use to impress your friends. Also, learning the Portuguese culture will allow you to really connect with the locals and to understand how the locals think.

This video shows you how the course, its videos, and the additional materials look like.Â
The course is divided into multiple sections, containing the 75+ video lessons and the exercise sets. I advise you to watch the sessions in order, as the course provides you a sequential and logical learning path. Remember that you can always go back and watch the lessons as many times as you need.
All the videos are in FULL HD, and it's possible to regulate the speed, sound and quality. In all my videos I try to use as many visuals as possible such as images, tables, and graphs. At the same time, you can also see me talking directly to you, making the lessons as engaging and fun as possible.Â
